WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU DON'T TAKE ACTION?

Hormonal fluctuations (estrogen levels drop and cortisol levels rise) start impacting your metabolism.

It ‘down regulate’ so it’s harder to lose weight, and fat gets redistributed to visceral fat focused around your belly (yes- you weren’t imagining it!)

In fact, your basal metabolic rate (BMR) can lower by up to 250 to 300 calories per day.

It also impacts thyroid function, leading to symptoms such as fatigue, weight gain, and depression.

You can experience 2-3 times faster muscle loss and 20% bone loss in just 10 years. (The more muscle we lose the harder it is to maintain or lose weight weight.)

Beginning at 30, you lose 3-5% of muscle mass every decade.

You’re more likely to become more insulin resistant, meaning your cells don’t respond to this hormone as effectively. This can lead to higher blood-sugar levels and (again) make it harder to manage your weight

Shocking, right?

BUT HERE’S THE KICKER:

Scientists have found that that human aging accelerates dramatically at age 44 and 60 (nothing to do with our female hormones!) the likely cause is an inflammation dump at this point most likely related to lifestyle factors.

This uncomfortable truth means that whether we like it or not, whether it’s fair or not, we need to make changes and take action otherwise we’re going to have a really crappy next chapter of our lives.

The good news is that we can take a daily commitment to neutralize this accelerated aging effect.

Let me be clear with you… perimenopause and menopause are not based on age they are 100% solely a hormonal shift.

You DO have control over how you experience it, this isn’t ‘woo woo’ ideology, it’s data proven science backed… and this should give you some relief and optimism.
